Solution:

I created a mark where “H’s” were arranged so an asterisk appeared in the negative space. I chose an asterisk because, in writing, it calls attention to things that can be easily overlooked much like Montessori learning calls attention to things that may get left behind in traditional school. The colors employed took inspiration from Montessori learning tools.
